LINE DANCING
HELLO
We are Trotters, the line dancing club, that has been running alongside the country music club for the last 12 years.
Trotters is run by myself Karen and my daughter Nita, Both of us have been line dancing since 1984, when Nita was only 7 years old.
Our classes were the brain child of Bernie Lynch, we used to dance at Freds country music club every Sunday night, and when the line dance boom hit the UK, Bernie asked us to consider a class to enable her Sunday night country music listeners to learn to line dance.
Both Nita and myself are huge country music fans. And whenever the American stars visit our shores we are there cheering them on. We are also very lucky that every year in June we go to Nashville to the Worlds biggest country music festival the CMA FEST formly knows as the FAN FARE., where we have been lucky enough to see many of the top country music stars in action. Nita in fact is off to LA in just a few weeks to see the legend that is Garth Brooks in a one off concert.
Country music plays a huge part in our lives, so despite all the music changes that have been adapted by the line dancers, we still ensure that a huge percentage of the music used at our events is country.
Nita and myself are fully qualified line dance instructors with B.W.D.A and N.A.T.D
